3 killed in private car crash in Dhaka
The passengers and driver of the car that hit the previous one were also injured in the accident
Three people have been killed in a collision between two private cars in the capital's Kalyanpur area.
The accident took place around 10pm on Sunday, Additional Deputy Commissioner at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Mahfuza Afroz Laki, confirmed The Business Standard.
Mahfuza said a private car broke down on the east side of the road adjacent to the Kalyanpur Khalek Petrol Pump. The driver of the private car was moving the car with the help of two pedestrians.
At that time, another speedy private car hit the crippled one from behind, leaving the driver and the two pedestrians dead on the spot.
The identity of the victims could not be known immediately, said the cop adding that the age of the driver is around 30 and the pedestrians are 15 and 24.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
