Another arrested in Badda lynching
With the arrest, police now seek remand order from court for all arrested persons in the case
Another arrest has been made in connection with the mob beating and death of Taslima Begum Renu. The arrested man’s name is Bachchu, 25.
Previously, three people named Bappi, Shaheen and Zafar were detained on Sunday night. With the arrest of Bachchu, police are now seeking remand order from court for all four.
Badda police station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam said, “We have requested seven days’ remand for questioning the arrestees.”
He added, “The leader of the mob attack, Hridoy, is still on the run.”
Hridoy works at his father Hanif Ali’s grocery shop in Uttar Badda. He has never gone to school and is known as an impudent man in the area.
