Bus driver held over couple’s death in airport accident

A team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested the driver of Ajmeri Paribahan bus over the death of a couple in Monday's road crash in the airport area of the capital.
The CID team arrested the driver Tasikul Islam during a drive in Mouchak area of Gazipur city at night, reports Somoy TV.
He primarily admitted the accident in primary interrogation.

Earlier, the couple was killed as the bus rammed their motorcycle near the Padma Oil Gate of capital's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area in the morning.
According to Airport Police Duty Officer Sub-Inspector (SI) Mashiul Alam, the duo died on the spot after being hit by the bus.
Police later seized the bus but the driver managed to escape from the spot.
