Ex-agri minister Razzaque arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque from the Eskaton area of the capital this evening (14 October).
A team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police apprehended him at around 6pm, said Rezaul Karim Mallik, DMP additional commissioner.
However, it has not yet been decided in which case he will be formally charged, Rezaul Karim added.

Abdur Razzaque is a presidium member of former ruling party Awami League.
He was a lawmaker from the Tangail-1 constituency from 2001- 2024.
