Police recover woman’s beheaded body in Purbachal
Police have recovered the beheaded body of a woman from the side of a road at Purbachal in Rupganj, Narayanganj.
The body was discovered near the Gutiabo Government Primary School in Purbachal's Sector No 5 this morning (6 January), said Senior Assistant Superintendent of police (C Circle) Mehedi Islam.
The deceased was identified as Rani, 29, the daughter of Mohammad Kashem from Geneva Camp, Mohammadpur.

A knife, reportedly used in the murder, was recovered from the scene, said police.
According to a sub inspector of Rupganj police station, locals spotted the beheaded body in the morning and informed the police. The police later recovered the body and sent it to General Hospital (Victoria), Narayanganj for an autopsy.
Efforts are underway to identify and catch the people responsible for the murder, said Mehedi.
Last month, two more bodies – a female college student and a teenage boy – were found within 24 hours in Purbachal after they were murdered.
