Dhaka North launches mobile courts to ensure hygiene maintenance

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Wednesday, conducted mobile courts in different areas under its jurisdiction to ensure hygiene rules to curb spread of the coronavirus, and to ensure compliance on the part of business operations.
During the drives, executive magistrates of the city corporation fined Tk28,200 in 17 cases wherein they found several irregularities, including non-compliance with government mandated hygiene rules, and for some traders not having trade licenses of some traders, said a media statement.
Executive magistrates of the city corporation fined Tk10,300 in five cases in ward no 19 of Banani, Tk3,900 in seven cases in ward 40, and Tk14,000 in five cases in ward 38.
During the drives, the DNCC executive magistrates advised all to comply with health hygiene rules issued by the government to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
