Dhaka North launches photo exhibition on Bangabandhu’s life, work
The exhibition titled “Rajnitir Mohakobi [Epic Poet of Politics]” was inaugurated at the Friends Club playground, in the capital’s Uttara 3 No sector, on Monday, read a media statement
To celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh's Independence, Dhaka North City Corporation has launched a photo exhibition on Bangabandhu's life and work.
The exhibition titled "Rajnitir Mohakobi [Epic Poet of Politics]" was inaugurated at the Friends Club playground, in the capital's Uttara 3 No. sector, on Monday, read a media statement.
While inaugurating the event, Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Md Atiqul Islam said, "We are going to set up a Mujib Manch [Mujib Stage] to let the future generation know about the immense contribution of Bangabandhu to the independence of Bangladesh."
Attending the event as the chief guest, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said, "Bangabandhu's historic 7 March speech is called the world's best poem which gave clear directions to the Bengali nation to fight against the Pakistani military to make Bangladesh independent."
"If the sun does not rise, the morning can never come and Bangabandhu is like the sun in our life. We are enlightened with his light," he added.
Among others, Dhaka 18 lawmaker Md Habib Hasan, Dhaka 10 lawmaker Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, and DNCC's Chief Executive Officer Md Selim Reza, were present on the occasion.
