DNCC launches call centre for advice on Dengue
The hotline 01932-665544 will start taking calls from next Wednesday
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has launched a call centre dedicated to provide city dwellers with medical advice on dengue and chikungunya.
The call centre -- operating from the city corporation building at Gulshan -- will start taking calls from next Wednesday, said a press release.
People will be able consult doctors by dialling the number - 01932-665544. The service will be available for 24 hours in a day, seven days a week.
A total of five people, including two children have so far died of dengue fever this year. The number of dengue infected people stands at 7,179 until July 22, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Dengue cases have gone up significantly this year compared to the same period in 2018. From January to July last year, only 1,374 dengue patients were reported.
