Ex-agri minister Razzaque placed on 2-day remand
Abdur Razzaque was arrested from the capital's Eskaton area around 7:30pm yesterday
A Dhaka court today (15 October) placed former agriculture minister and Awami League presidium member Abdur Razzaque on two-day remand in a case filed over the killing of trader Abdul Wadud in Dhaka's New Market area.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the order as police produced Razzaque before the court and pleaded to place him on seven-day remand in the case.
Abdur Razzaque was arrested from the capital's Eskaton area around 7:30pm yesterday (14 October).
Abdul Wadud was killed in front of New Market 1st gate on 19 July.
His brother-in-law Abdur Rahman filed the case on 21 August against 130 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Anisul Huq, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Salman F Rahman.
