Father, daughter die from electrocution in Mymensingh

A man and his daughter died from electrocution in Gauripur upazila of Mymensingh on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Asadul Islam, 32, and his daughter Jannatul Omi, 3.

Locals said the duo went to water a field and were electrocuted when Asadul attempted to switch the water pump on.

Asadul died on the spot.

Omi was rescued and taken to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead.
