Prime Bank launches awareness campaign to fight Coronavirus
In a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus pandemic, the Prime Bank Limited launched a health awareness programme to make its employees and clients conscious about this deadly virus, said a press release on Sunday.
To this respect, the bank distributed awareness leaflets to its customers at the bank's branches across the country.
The bank has also made the arrangement of hand sanitizer for customers at all the branches.
Besides, the bank has also made the hand gloves, masks and liquid handwash available for its employees and advised them to wash hands in regular intervals especially to those dealing with cash transactions.
As part of the awareness drive, the bank is sending regular updates on prevention tips to customers through email and SMS. The bank also encouraged customers to use alternative banking channels, including ATM and Internet Banking to minimise the Coronavirus risk.
Rahel Ahmed, managing director and chief executive officer of the bank said: "Instead of being panicked, we should stay calm and act to raise awareness on how we can protect ourselves from the deadly Coronavirus."
"To fight this disease, we must follow the guidelines of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), basic hygiene, and the practice of social distancing, he added."
