5 fined in Tangail for not wearing masks
The executive magistrate said this type of drives will continue
A mobile court in Tangail on Thursday fined Tk600 to five people for moving around outside without wearing a mask amid the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Executive magistrate Mariam Khatun, who has led the mobile court drives in various areas in the district, said, "They have been fined for roaming around outside without wearing a mask, which is a violation of government directives."
The fine has been awarded according to section 269 of the penal code 1860. This type of drive will continue, she added.
