Shopping malls, markets reopen in Khulna
All shops will remain open from 10am to 7pm except for the ones in the red zones
The district administration conditionally allowed shops, markets, and shopping malls across Khulna district to reopen from Thursday.
Mohammad Helal Hossain, deputy commissioner and also district Covid-19 prevention committee president, asked the businessmen to follow health guidelines while reopening their shops.
All shops will remain open from 10am to 7pm except for the ones in the red zones – Ward 17 and 24 of the city and Aichgati union of Rupsha upazila.
The district administration imposed several conditions on the movement of people, vehicles and operation of shops, markets and shopping malls.
The conditions include maintaining proper health and safety guidelines by both shoppers and sellers during trading.
They also include arrangements of hygiene facilities for customers at the entrances of shops, markets and shopping malls and proper ground markings to help guide shoppers to maintain proper social distancing.
Banners saying, "Disregarding health guidelines could put your life at risk," must be hung in front of the shopping malls, shops and markets.
All sorts of public gatherings and programmes have been banned there.
The district administration asked everyone, including shoppers and sellers, to follow these guidelines.
Legal actions will be taken against the people or businesses violating these instructions.
