Agrani Bank provides loans to Pran Dairy farmers
This is for the first time that a state-owned bank is financing a supply chain
Agrani Bank Limited will finance the supply chain of Pran Dairy Limited to help process milk after collecting it from dairy farmers and reach dairy products at the consumer level.
The Supply Chain Finance Scheme was inaugurated at the boardroom of Agrani Bank today in presence of its Chairman Dr Zaid Bakht, reads a press release.
This is for the first time that a state-owned bank is financing a supply chain.

Pran-RFL Group Director Uzma Chowdhury was also present at the event that was presided over by Agrani Bank Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Shams-ul Islam.
Shams-ul Islam said this kind of financing will play a great role to meet the demand of milk and nutrition in the country.
Uzma Chowdhury, director at Corporate Finance of Pran-RFL Group, presented an exhibition on the business expansion of Pran Dairy Limited from its inception to the present day.
She thanked Agrani Bank Limited for the financing that would take the activities of Pran Dairy Limited forward.
Senior executives and officials of both the organisations were present at the occasion.
