Coast Guard conducts free medical camp in Shariatpur
Bangladesh Coast Guard continues its commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities in coastal and remote areas by providing free medical services. In its latest initiative, a medical camp was organised by BCG Station Pagla under the Dhaka Zone in the Vedarganj area of Shariatpur district's Sakhipur Police Station.
The camp, held from 10 am to 2 pm, offered free medical consultations and essential medicines to a total of 670 individuals, including children. This effort is part of the Bangladesh Coast Guard's ongoing mission to assist underprivileged and low-income groups through various community support programmes.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Ahmed Rifat Tahmid, AMC, and Surgeon Lieutenant Jannatul Ferdous, AMC, led the medical team, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community.
Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Siam-ul-Haque, Media Officer at the Coast Guard Headquarters, highlighted the organisation's dedication to public welfare through initiatives like these, ensuring access to essential medical care for those in need.
