Police have recovered the hanging body of an Eden Mohila College student from a women's hostel in Dhaka's Hazaribagh area.
The body of Pushpita Biswas, 21, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room of the hostel at around 12:30am today (18 January), reports Prothom Alo.
After she was found in an unresponsive state, the student was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared her dead, said Hazaribagh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Saiful Islam.

Her body was later sent to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy, which is expected to reveal the exact cause of death, he told Prothom Alo.
According to OC Saiful, preliminary investigations suggest the death may have been a case of suicide. "However, we are gathering additional information to determine what actually happened."
