DB police attacked during anti-drug operation in Faridpur; several injured
A case will be filed regarding the attack on the police, and the two arrested individuals have been brought in, reports UNB
A team from Faridpur district's Detective Branch (DB) police was attacked during a raid against drug and gambling activities in the Dumain Bazar area of Madhukhali upazila last night (21 January).
The incident occurred around 8:30pm when suspects and locals assaulted the police team.
Three officers, Sub-Inspectors Abdul Jabbar and Dewan Shafiqul, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Shafiqul Islam, were critically injured and are receiving treatment at Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

Dr Tausif Sarkar Priyo of the hospital said, "The injured officers are being treated for multiple injuries."
Faridpur's Additional Superintendent of Police Shailen Chakma confirmed the attack, saying, "Three officers were seriously injured, and others sustained minor injuries."
