Childcare center opens in Information Building
Mothers working in the offices located in the building will have the opportunity to perform their official duties while keeping their children at this center
A childcare center has been opened at the Information Building for the children of female employees working in the Department of Film and Publications (DFP), Department of Mass Communication and Bangladesh Film Censor Board.
Information Ministry Secretary Kamrun Nahar today inaugurated the childcare center in the capital's Circuit House Road area, read a DFP handout.
The childcare center, housed on the fifth floor of the building, provides the opportunity for the children to play a variety of sports. There is also a separate corner for breastfeeding. Children up to the age of six can avail the services of this center.

On the occasion, the information secretary said the government has undertaken various programmes for the empowerment of women. Establishing childcare centers in the workplace is one such initiative.
As a result, women are getting the opportunity to prove their skills in the workplace as well as fulfill their responsibilities towards children and family, she added.
Later, Secretary Kamrun Nahar inaugurated a workshop on "Innovative Planning at the Department of Film and Publications."
She urged all to work sincerely to bring the benefits of government services to the doorsteps of the public.
The information secretary also inaugurated a training room in the building with state-of-the-art facilities for in-house training of DFP officers and employees.
