Stranded Bangladeshis at USA arrive Sunday
The flight will leave Washington on Friday
A Qatar Airways flight chartered by the government of Bangladesh will bring back stranded Bangladeshi citizens from the USA.
The flight will leave Washington at 11pm local time on Friday (May 15) and arrive in Dhaka at 4am on Sunday (May 17).
The Bangladesh Embassy in the USA has posted the information on its website.
On May 5, the embassy posted a notice on its website saying a large number of Bangladeshis – who are stranded in the USA amid the Covid-19 pandemic – have requested to arrange a special chartered flight to bring them back home.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bangladesh Mission in the USA arranged the chartered flight of Qatar Airways from Washington Dulles International Airport on May 15.
