12th Kyokushin Karate National Competition 2023 held
Under the initiative of Bangladesh Kyukushin Karate Academy and under the supervision of Bangladesh Kyukushin Karate Association, this competition has been held regularly in Bangladesh since 2003.
The 12th Kyokushin Karate National Competition-2023 was held in Bangladesh on the occasion of commemorating the 100th birthday of the renowned Grand Master Masutatsu Oyama.
The competition was held at the Sultana Kamal Mahila Sports Complex in Dhanmondi on Friday (September 22).
Under the initiative of Bangladesh Kyukushin Karate Academy and under the supervision of Bangladesh Kyukushin Karate Association, this competition has been held regularly in Bangladesh since 2003.
Bangladesh Awami League Joint Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim was present as the chief guest at the ceremony of distribution of crests among the winners after the competition. Bangladesh Awami Volunteer League General Secretary AKM Afzalur Rahman Babu and Chandpur District Awami League Vice President Dr JR Wadud Tipu were present as special guests.
In the speech of the chief guest, AFM Bahauddin Nasim said to the contestants, "If you stick to it, success is bound to come in any work.'' At this time, he praised for organizing the such extreme sports competition in the age of screens.
A total of 49 contestants from 15 districts and 2 upazilas of the country participated in this competition in 5 categories of children, boys, girls, women (open) and men (open) aged 7 to 40 years.
In children's category, Riyaduzzaman Anher secured the first position. Beside that Musa Abdullah and Aayan Reza Aolad secured second and third position accordingly.
In boy's category, Zayin Maruf Khan secured the first position. Beside that Eesa Abdullah and Wahiduzzaman Sadman secured the second and third position accordingly.
In girl's category, Innaya Imam Hajjaj secured the first position. Beside that Meher Afrin Enni and Ayman Dara Nayantara secured the second and third position accordingly.
In Women's (Open) category, Shrabosti Das secured the first position. Beside that, Bonolata Rahman and Ashfi Mehjabeen seecured the second and third position accordingly.
In Men's (Open) category, Mathew Ricky secured the first position. Beside that, Zahiduzzaman Shihab and Shahriar Rahman secured the second and third position accordingly.
