Railway Minister mourns casualties of Bhairab train crash
Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam has expressed deep grief and sorrow at the loss of lives in a train crash in Kishoreganj's Bhairab area on Monday.
In a condolence message on Tuesday (24 October), the Railway Minister sought salvation for the departed souls of those killed in the unexpected train accident and speedy recovery of the injured. He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
The families of those killed in this accident and those who were injured are to be provided with financial support and appropriate medical care, adds the Minister.
Steps have been taken to find out the exact cause of the accident by forming an inquiry committee.
On Monday, at least 17 people were killed and over 100 others injured after two trains collided in Bhairab of Kishoreganj. The accident occurred when Egarosindhur Express collided with a freight train at Bhairab station.
